About FFF
Who We Are
Fatherhood Forever Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the countless number of men around the world with a past abortion experience find healing and hope.
Our Mission: Fatherhood Forever Foundation is dedicated to helping men find healing and hope after abortion by creating awareness that abortion does have an impact on men and providing encouragement and resources to those seeking help.
Our Vision: To reduce abortions and promote a culture that respects life and honors the gift of fatherhood.
What We Do
Currently, Fatherhood Forever focuses on three key elements...
awareness, inspiration and healing.
Our goal, first and foremost, is to help these broken and hurting fathers in their search for help. Jason Baier, the founder of FFF, knows first-hand just how difficult it can be. "As I reached out to different people for help, there were few who understood why I was in so much pain. 'Just get over it... it was only an abortion' they would tell me. But I couldn't. It was more than just an abortion. I had lost my child and no one seemed to understand." Therefore, Fatherhood Forever has created the Men's Healing Network, an international referral database of caring and compassionate people and organizations that offer post-abortion healing services for men.
Experience has shown us that many men who are hurting from the loss of a child to abortion think they are alone. They often question their own emotions and wonder if they even have the right to feel pain. The best way for them to know that they are NOT alone and that their feelings are legitimate is to hear the Stories of other men that have walked the same path. Therefore, we have provided a means for men who have healed to inspire those seeking help by Sharing their own personal testimonies. This process of sharing has proven helpful to those who share and to those who read these stories.
We've also done some extensive networking with other organizations. This has allowed us to not only spread our message of healing and hope, but to also learn and share ideas. We've been able to collect information from many resources and compile it all on one web site to help educate people about the effects abortion can have on men, and as a result, on our society. We also provide free tools for organizations to download and use.
Why the Focus on Men?
Our society has failed to acknowledge the fact that abortion can have adverse effects on a man's mental, physical and spiritual health. For every child that is lost to abortion, a man loses his fatherhood. For some, it is deliberate. For others, it is out of their control. But regardless of their involvement, it can have a negative impact on their lives... days, months or years later. We are here to guide them on the right path to healing so they may put their lives back together.
This is still a fairly new concept. There are a lot of great organizations out there that have made a difference in many people's lives. But until recently, very few have considered the male role in abortion. In many cases, these organizations don't even know how to deal with a man who has come to them for help, having no where else to turn. That is why there is such a need for a male-focused organization such as Fatherhood Forever.
Our Future
Fatherhood Forever is still a small, start-up organization, but we have big plans for the future and we need your help to get there (see "How You Can Help" below). Some of our plans are:
- To have the largest referral network, spanning across the globe, of organizations that offer post-abortion healing programs for men.
- Offer start-up kits and/or training workshops for organizations that want to offer services to men.
- Connect with groups such Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Co-dependents Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery. There may be many men in these programs that could trace their problems to a past abortion experience.
- Conduct further research on how men are affected by abortion and how they impact the current abortion rates. There is very little available on this issue and, therefore, is for the most part ignored. The more facts we have, the more people might pay attention. Until then, our society will continue to identify abortion as only a woman's issue. Ideally, this research would be conducted by medical and psychological professionals and involve a much broader focus group than ever before.
- Offer workshops in every community for expecting fathers on how to be responsible partners and parents, which in turn may help reduce the number of abortions.
- Create a toll-free hotline that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for men to be able to call for emotional support, crisis intervention and referrals. It would be staffed by qualified individuals experienced in dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Feature key speakers who are working on the front lines of the men and abortion issue.
- Create an advertising campaign that educates the public and encourages men to seek healing.
How You Can Help
There are several ways that you can help us accomplish our goals. We appraciate anything you can do.
- Place one of our image links on your web site to help create awareness and drive traffic to our site.
- Become a volunteer. We need people to contact organizations in their area that offer post-abortion services for men and ask them to join our Men's Healing Network.
- We still need the funds to get our 501(c)3 status. We are asking anyone who recognizes the need for this organization to make a donation of any amount. There's no amount too large or too small. Please keep in mind that until we have our 501(c)3, any donations made are NOT tax deductible.
- Keep us and all the post-abortion men in your prayers. As an organization, we are breaking new ground and need God's strength to overcome the obstacles we face every day. The men need your prayers to be strong enough to come forward and deal with the issues that are holding them back.
